We are a year-round, non-profit grocery store that brings local and natural food to the heart of downtown Wheeling.
We put farmers first. The Public Market features products from over 40 regional farmers and vendors. Local farmers and makers get 70-80% of the profit from every item they sell through our store on consignment — compared to about 15% in traditional grocery.
We believe in fresh, natural and healthy food for all. Our market creates a space for community health in the center of downtown Wheeling. The Public Market accepts Senior Vouchers and EBT cards — plus our “SNAP Stretch” program provides a 50% discount for all grocery items for SNAP shoppers.
